Stay in the "Historic District" of Marietta, Georgia and enjoy the old-world charm of the past, where life was less complicated and neighbors were friendly and supportive. Magnolia Park is situated in an old neighborhood close to St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Within walking distance is the Marietta Square where you can sit in the antebellum Glover Park and people watch. The feeling one gets as they hear the tolling of the bells from three downtown churches is that you are in a quaint and charming old-southern city, which you are. The Marietta Square has specialty shops, antique shops, several great restarunts, and the 1898 train depot where the Marietta Welcome Center is located, all within walking distance from Magnolia Park. Also downtown Marietta is the golf and country club, which is open to the public.
Magnolia Park is a town home designed to resemble the architecture of the Garden District homes of historic New Orleans. Coming thru the front door one enters an outdoors garden room . It has a very old-world feel with new world architecture.
Across the street from the Town home community is a park where the local community gathers to exchange the latest happenings, watch the kids play a baseball game or to play tennis on the public courts.
Magnolia park is a Non-Hosted bed and breakfast. We can accommodate up to four people. There are two bedrooms, one off the kitchen and one upstairs on the second floor. Off the upstairs bedroom is a balcony where it is interesting to sit with your morning coffee and watch the neighborhood come to life. The master bedroom is large with tray ceilings and two large windows. The master bath is all tile with a large jetted tub and a separate tile and glass shower, VERY ROMANTIC. This bedroom has southern exposure so the winter sun is very soothing.
